The adventure begins with the launch of Longbox Heroes Prestige: The Rocketeer Collection, an officially licensed line that reimagines The Rocketeer with premium craftsmanship, articulation, and storytelling.
Developed by BigBadWorkshop, the collection delivers a fresh interpretation of beloved characters from The Rocketeer universe with elevated design and collector-focused presentation.
Launching alongside the collection is Sky Captain, a standalone release developed in collaboration with the creative team at Monster Forge. While separate from The Rocketeer Collection, Sky Captain shares the same retro-futuristic pulp adventure spirit that defines the era. Inspired directly by Kevin Conran’s original concept artwork and illustrations, the figure blends vintage aesthetics with modern engineering to create a distinctive collectible experience.
Expanding the storytelling beyond the figures, every release in The Rocketeer Collection and Sky Captain will include an exclusive original mini-comic produced by Monster Forge. The stories are written by Shannon Eric Denton in collaboration with his children—Johnny Denton, Dakota Denton, and Wylie Denton—and illustrated by acclaimed comic artists Anthony Marques, President of The Joe Kubert School; Des Taylor, creator of the acclaimed Comic Pop style; and Dan Thompson, creator of the syndicated adventure strip Rip Haywire. Together, the mini-comics expand these worlds with all-new adventures created exclusively for the Longbox Heroes Prestige line.

Any association with this incredible creation is pure joy. As for Sky Captain, I’m not just a fan. I’m in awe of my friend and Sky Captain creator Kevin Conran. I put together his Art of Sky Captain book, and now making this toy with Bill feels like a natural continuation of that collaboration. Being able to expand these worlds with original comics created alongside my children and such an incredible team of artists makes this project even more special.”
