Raise your tankards and sound the trumpets—King Richard’s Faire, New England’s largest and longest-running Renaissance festival, returns for its 45th Anniversary Season, inviting guests to celebrate four and a half decades of magic, merriment and unforgettable memories.
Running weekends September 5 through October 25, 2026, including Monday holidays September 7 and October 12, the milestone season continues the Faire’s exciting new era at its new home at Edaville Entertainment Venue in Carver, where guests will discover expanded experiences while enjoying everything that has made King Richard’s Faire a cherished New England tradition for generations.
For 45 years, King Richard’s Faire has transported visitors to the mythical village of Carvershire, where knights battle on horseback, musicians fill the lanes with lively melodies, artisans demonstrate centuries-old crafts, and performers surprise guests around every corner. Families, friends, fantasy enthusiasts and first-time visitors alike are invited to leave the modern world behind and step into an immersive kingdom filled with adventure, laughter and unforgettable memories.
This year’s original storyline celebrates the Faire’s landmark anniversary as King Richard XI and Queen Anne III return to the village during harvest season, only to find themselves caught up in mysterious royal intrigue, magical mishaps and an anniversary celebration unlike any before. Guests will become part of the adventure as they journey through the kingdom alongside beloved characters, colorful villagers and extraordinary performers.
NEW FOR THE 45TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON
Building upon the successful transition to its new Carver home at Edaville Entertainment Venue, guests will enjoy continued enhancements designed to make every visit even more immersive and comfortable, including:
-
Expanded village
-
New permanent shoppes
-
Additional shaded seating and guest gathering areas
-
New VIP experiences (Joust Dais VIP seating and VIP Parking)
-
Beautiful plantings of trees and flowers throughout the grounds designed to elevate the overall guest experience
Throughout the season, hundreds of performers will entertain simultaneously across eight vibrant stages, one massive tournament field, and in the village lanes. Comedy, live music, acrobatic animals, aerialists, giant puppets, interactive characters, and knights jousting on horseback make this event legendary. Guests can feast on giant turkey legs, hearty stews, chowders, signature cocktails, mead, wine, brew, and sweet treats while browsing handcrafted treasures from artisans traveling from across the country and around the world.
The full entertainment lineup and featured performers will be announced later this summer. Guests are encouraged to visit kingrichardsfaire.net for entertainment schedules, special events and season updates.
