This has been an interesting turn for this book.
Gene Luen Yang has done a great job of writing this book with a bit of pizzazz. His story here has takes both heroes to some really new and interesting places.
It has been very enjoyable.
There has been an apocalypse going across the various realities. It is pretty much destroying everything in it’s path.
Batman and Superman are out to save everything by stopping it.
But is the World’s Finest team in over their respective heads?
Batman and Superman join their counterparts in the different realities and go off to try and stop the end of everything. This proves to be a lot harder than they originally think it is going to be. We get to see them with all of their backs against the wall.
The villainous Auteur is making sure that his evil plan comes to fruition. We get to see the scope of everything that he has been planning.
We also get an incredibly crazy ending that has to be seen to be believed. It is a lot of fun.
The writing by Yang is solid. He has come a long way as a writer and this shows his ability to change it up a bit. There are a lot of guest artists on this book and all are great.
Overall, this is a book that is daringly different and quite entertaining.
