This book has just been an awesome and in-depth read. The creative team is really killing it month in and month out. There is so much in this book that is intricate, yet it is so easily digestible that it is remarkable.
The Detective who is our lead character of the book asks a really great question: Who benefits from the assassination of a Presidential candidate?
That question is at the heart of the story in this issue.
He starts to see that Rorschach and Laura didn’t act alone.
In fact, he starts to see a bigger picture opening up for him that makes him question a lot of things that he has previously learned. He starts to look into law enforcement organizations and other ground level places.
That is when he starts to peek around the Oval Office.
Could they be involved?
What does it mean if they are?
How far does this whole thing really reach?
We start to really see the bigger picture at the heart of everything. The Detective might not be prepared for what comes next.
The story here is quite excellent. I love every second of what is happening here. Tom King is doing the writing work of his career. Jorge Fornes is one of the best artists in the business and proves that again here.
Overall, this is a great issue of this continuing series once again.
