First Look: ‘Vandals: The Photography of The Bikeriders’ From Insight Editions

This spring, Insight Editions will publish an in-depth look at the making of acclaimed filmmaker Jeff Nichols’ new film The Bikeriders: VANDALS: THE PHOTOGRAPHY OF THE BIKERIDERS (Insight Editions; publishing May 7, 2024).

At over 160 pages, on-set still photographers Bryan Schutmaat and Bono Kaplan capture the grit and bravura of the anticipated film, which chronicles the rise, fall, and undeniable intrigue of an American biker gang in the 1960s. Boasting an all-star cast that includes Austin Butler, Tom Hardy, Jodie Comer, and Michael Shannon, The Bikeriders takes viewers on a gripping journey into the conflicted heart of postwar America, and deep into the lives of a fascinating cast of characters. Vandals is the ultimate visual companion, capturing the film and performers’ intensity and depth of feeling with gorgeous, intimate photographs in a beautiful hardcover volume.
