Dino De Laurentiis (1919-2010)

Italian media reported that legendary producer, Dino De Laurentiis, passed away in Los Angeles at age 91.

In addition to working with some of Italy’s most renowned filmmakers including Federico Fellini and Roberto Rossellini, De Laurentiis produced a number of films in the United States including Serpico, The Dead Zone, Dune, Three Days of The Condor, Death Wish and U-571.

De Laurentiis produced more than 500 films over his entire career and was received 38 Oscar nominations, winning for Fellini’s La Strada.

A legend in the world of cinema, his mark will be missed.

Here are some of my favorite works that he was involved in.

And one of my favorite movies of all time, Flash Gordon!
