‘Beta Ray Bill #3’ (review)

Written and Illustrated by Daniel Warren Johnson
Published by Marvel Comics

Man, Daniel Warren Johnson has done it.

He has made me fall in love with a Marvel Comic Book again. This take on Beta Ray Bill is wonderful and Johnson is a true visionary.

Every issue just gets better and better and this is something else.

Beta Ray Bill has been through a lot in his first two issues.

He is on his way to find his glory and he is doing it in the best way he knows how.

Bill is hunting for Odin. Odin isn’t the same Odin that he knows either making things even more difficult.

Bill wants his Stormbreaker hammer back and he will stop at nothing to get it.

He has assembled a team as this issue starts and they are there to help him. There are many stops along the way and the whole thing is just exciting.

We get to see a major battle in this issue.

It does not happen without some casualties. There is a lot of emotion here as Bill’s mission starts to come into question.

Johnson ends the issue on one hell of a note too that is truly unforgettable.

Johnson is an auteur. There is no question about it. The writing is solid and the artwork is out of this world. I loved every moment of this and it is only getting better.

I am sad that it is only five issues. I can’t get enough.

RATING: A
