KRISS KROSS MEMBER Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly, Dead At 34

In what appears to be a drug overdose, one half of the 90’s rap group Kriss Kross (Chris Kelly) has died at the age of 34.

The duo, who rose to stardom after their debut album (Totally Krossed Out) and the incredibly popular single Jump was released in 1992, resulted in the thirteen year olds becoming famous seemingly overnight, (an instance which also led, interestingly enough,  to the creation of the Sega CD game Make My Video where the “player” edits music videos for their songs Jump, I Missed the Bus and Warm it Up) and helped usher in the era of wearing clothes backwards on your body (a fad which I sadly involved myself in for a very short time).

While the heyday for Kriss Kross was definitely the 90s, there was a resurgence in their popularity after the two performed at So So Def’s 20th anniversary party earlier this year and were rumored to make a comeback.

After their break are a few of their videos as well as their last performance.
