Penultimate Chapter of ‘Spider-Man: Spider’s Shadow #4’ Sets The Stage For Intense Finale (review)

This What If? styled comic book really does go to some deep places. The creative team is very good, but they also do something unexpected with this concept. I am enjoying it very much and can’t see what other twists and turns that they have in store for us.

Peter Parker has become Venom in this story.

However, he finally feels like he is free from it all! But once you bond with the symbiote, you are never truly free. That is when we get to see the symbiote set it’s sights on the Fantastic Four.

The symbiote targets Reed Richards and makes a play for him.

The symbiote is now more powerful than ever. We get to see this happen and the results from that. It is truly one hell of an action scene and kept me on the edge of my seat.

Peter Parker then has to make a decision with it all.

Can he stop the symbiote’s plans once and for all?

Or is everything going to go to hell in a hand basket?

There is a lot that happens in this issue and it all leads to a hell of a finale.

The story by Chip Zdarksy is very good. Every element works really well and the dialogue is great. The artwork by Pasqual Ferry is damn good as well.

Overall, this is a very fine penultimate chapter in this comic book story.
