‘Green Lantern Season 2 #8’ (review)

Written by Grant Morrison
Art by Liam Sharp
Published by DC Comics

This has been a really great run on Green Lantern.

The creative team has been really crushing it with each issue. This particular one is pretty damn good as well. The whole thing seems to be building towards a big ending. I can’t wait to see what the creative team has in store for us.

The Anti-Matter universe had made it’s way to ours!

The residents there aren’t too happy either! We see them making their way in space at the beginning of the issue. It is pretty horrifying to witness. Artist Liam Sharp does a great job of showing us the invasion.

From there, we get to see Hal Jordan trying to formulate a plan.

He does so by being in the middle of the action! We see Hal fight against the alien attackers! It is a hell of battle too that just seems to get stranger as the issue goes on.

Hal has his back against the wall.

His companions are struggling against the Anti-Matter soldiers. Things are looking pretty bleak. The whole thing lead into one hell of an obscure ending. It is utterly strange and utterly compelling.

Grant Morrison is really giving us our money’s worth with this story. The art is fantastic and beautifully unique.

Overall, this is a pretty damn fine comic book. I am sad that it is ending soon but I can’t wait to see where we end up.

RATING: A
