‘The Dollhouse Family #6’ (review)

Written by M. R. Carey
Art by Peter Gross
Published by DC Comics

This book has done a really great job keeping things moving in a chilling way. M.R. Carey is a hell of a talent and this surely is his best work. I have to say this final issue really wraps things up in a satisfying way that completes this story perfectly.

Alice finally goes up against the Dollhouse in this finale. It is a battle to the death for sure!

At the beginning of the issue though, the Dollhouse is gathering it’s forces. It is a creepy gathering too. There is a brutal moment with a little girl that has to be seen to be believed.

We then see some of the Dollhouse’s machinations. This part was especially eerie. I actually had a little trouble reading this part as it does get very dark.

And that is when we get to see Alice.

Alice has decided to take on the Dollhouse. Carey really rocks this part with the writing as it is something really terrifying to read.

This all leads into the ending of the title which is completely unexpected. I loved it.

This is the best book out of the Joe Hill line of books . Carey is a great writer and the art by Gross is perfectly suited for this title. The inks by Vince Locke is worth a mention as well.

This is some great stuff and a gem in the middle of a line of books that I am not really fond of.

RATING: A-
