Writer Peter J. Tomasi and artist Brad Walker are a dream team. They are telling an amazing story featuring Two-Face.
Together, the creative team give us one of best stories that Detective Comics has had recently. I was on the edge of my seat throughout this entire issue!
The beginning of the book has Two-Face regrouping a bit. He has a plan in place and is ready to enact on it.
We then cut to the Gotham Medical Examiner.
Batman appears. He asks the examiner for a few minutes alone with the bodies in the morgue. You can’t very well say no to Batman, now, can you?
Batman examines the bodies.
Based off what he finds, Batman continues to investigate. He takes a ride in the Batmobile.
Then, suddenly, while heading into the Batcave, Bruce comes across Harvey Dent himself.
Harvey goes back and forth between his personalities and it is psychologically disturbing. Tomasi and Walker really nail Harvey’s psychosis perfectly. It is downright disturbing and perfectly put together. This story is how Two-Face should be done and more creators should look at this. It is seriously excellent.
Bruce is put into quite a predicament by the end. I love the cliffhanger they give us.
This is a well written book and the artwork is excellent. This is indeed the best work of artist Brad Walker’s entire career.
