Support This! Crowdfunding Campaigns Running Now For Chaykin’s ‘Fargo’, Pace’s ‘Coven’, & Murphy’s ‘Zorro’

Over the past several years, crowdfunding has become one of the most popular alternative ways to financially support a number of creative projects.  Artists, writers, inventors, filmmakers, and even starting businesses have used the various platforms to bring ideas into reality.

Here are three comic related campaigns you should not miss!

Fargo: Hell on Wheels
Adapted, written and illustrated by the inimitable HOWARD CHAYKIN!

Fargo: Hell on Wheels is a 96+ page prestige format, action packed, hardcover graphic novel starring soldier of fortune Neal Fargo, based on the legendary ‘Fargo’ paperback series by John Benteen! Imagine if Conan was an American in the early 20th century. He still wouldn’t be as hard as Neal Fargo.

Supporters of the campaign are in for massive treats, as there are art contributions to the book by a murderer’s row of artists, including Gary Frank, Butch Guice, Eduardo Risso, Denys Cowan, Mahmud Asrar, Ron Garney, and lots more, with a variant cover provided by Dave Johnson!

Coven: A Book of 100 Witches
By Richard Pace

Coven: A Book of 100 Witches is a softcover collection of Pace’s “Witchy” work, capturing the best of Spooky Season for fans to enjoy year round as these women cast their spell on you with every turn of the page. This book has been a years long labor of love for Pace, who muses “Alan Moore once said, “To me, all creativity is magic. Ideas start out in the empty void of your head – and they end up as a material thing, like a book you can hold in your hand.” I took that quote to heart, and I’m excited to share these drawings (magic) of witches (more magic) in a book (most magical) that you can hold in your hands”.

All 62 daily drawings from Witchtober 2022 and 2023 as well as the 38 weekly Witchy Wednesday drawings are now available for the first time.

Zorro: Man of the Dead
By Sean Gordon Murphy

From the creator of  Batman: The White Knight Universe comes Zorro: Man of the Dead .  “The idea for this book is Don Quixote meets Narcos, told in a contemporary setting,” says Sean Gordon Murphy. “Diego is a young man who’s convinced that he’s Zorro—as a child, he had a psychotic break after witnessing the murder of his parents by the drug cartel in his village. To cope with the trauma, he embraces the 200-year-old legend of Zorro by putting on the mask, training with the sword, and waging a war against the Narcos to free his people.”

Zorro: Man of the Dead brings Sean Gordon Murphy’s unique voice to one of history’s greatest masked heroes, promising to be every bit as sought-after and ground-breaking as his career-defining work with DC Comics.
