‘The Wrong Earth: Night and Day #2’ (review)

Written by Tom Peyer
Art by Jamal Igle
Published by Ahoy Comics

I have loved everything that I have read from Ahoy Comics.

The Wrong Earth though has been the flagship title of the company, so to speak.

It is is smart, funny, and full of great ideas and stories. I have loved every page of each series of this particular title.

In the last issue, we got to see Dragonfly and Dragonflyman of the two different Earths each following up on a case. Both of them are stuck on the other hero’s world, hence the title.

They are both led to Earth-Zeta where the two of them finally come face to face!

At first, they just stare at each other.  But then, they waste no time in getting to work on this case.

This is an environmental case and they have to piece together what is going on. So, we get to see the two of these heroes working together. The results are both exciting and hilarious.

We get to see how competitive about the job both of them become against one another.

We also see how they have become inseparable with this case. This leads to some amazing moments and some incisive character and dialogue moments throughout. It’s fantastic.

Tom Peyer does a great job of taking this concept and running away with it. He takes some of these old superhero tropes and does something new with it. Jamal Igle is a fantastic artist and proves it yet again with this issue.

Overall, this series just keeps getting better with each new issue that hits the stands!

RATING: A
