Well, this has been a fun book that is losing a bit of importance as time goes on.
It was really cool that the beginning of this comic series tied into the DC Universe a lot more. Now, we just have standalone stories that, while not bad, are just having less of an overall impact.
Williamson decides to tackle the character of Solomon Grundy in this issue.
We get to see Grundy die yet again. But this time it is very different. Something completely deadly is happening and Grundy’s reincarnation has turned him into a time bomb that could take out half of America.
This is where Batman and Superman enter into the picture.
They have been tasked with getting Grundy’s body from S.T.A.R Labs all the way to Slaughter Swamp before Grundy literally explodes. This might be a harder task than they have ever thought it might be.
That is because there are a bunch of super villains on the dynamic duo’s trail! They all want to use Grundy for their own purposes. This leads to a lot of adventure and a lot of fun! I enjoyed this issue again very much.
Williamson keeps the scripts light and terse. I do wish there was a bigger over arching story, but I am enjoying this book for what it is. The art is decent as well, but not amazing.
Overall, it is an entertaining read that is pretty much a quick bit of enjoyment and not much else.
