I really have been enjoying the stories that have been coming out of this title.
Writer Joshua Williamson had been kind of going for broke with each new issue. The concepts and the character development has been great and I love what he did with this issue in particular.
At the start of the issue, Steel and Batwoman are flying through space.
.This is Batwoman’s first time in space, it seems. She is a bit nervous. Well, it looks like she had good reason to be.
Their spaceship is soon attacked by a really pissed off Doomsday!
They try and fight and stand up to Doomsday.
They fight him and eventually we realize that it isn’t the real Doomsday at all. We eventually cut over to see Batman and Superman waking up on a skull shaped planet with crazy versions of each of their rogues galleries.
Brainiac is the one responsible for their current predicament.
How can they escape this planet?
Why are they being worshiped like they are gods?
There is a lot of mystery in this story and I absolutely love the direction that Williamson is taking here. He is doing a great job writing this book every single month.
The World’s Finest team are on the hunt for their missing comrades.
Can they find them in time?
Or is all hope going to be lost?
This is a fun story with excellent art by Max Raynor. I am excited to see how this creative team bring this story to it’s forthcoming conclusion.
