Ditko’s Shorts

The perfect gift for that comic book fan in your life from the co-creator of Spider-Man and Doctor Strange!  Ditko’s Shorts is a fun and incredibly fascinating compilation of short comics one, two and three pages in length. Only a brilliant master could tell a dramatic, compelling tale in such compact form. You’ll thrill as Ditko walks this exciting high-wire act without a net! The many stories contained in this hardcover are fast-paced and sport terrific, compelling artwork as only Steve Ditko can draw it! The genres show the artist’s great range. There’s horror, fantasy, science fiction, western, and even humorous stories. Taken from rare comic books from a who’s who of publishers, all the comics are meticulously restored and printed in a beautiful, large-format book. Insightful introductions by punk-rocker and comics historian Fester Faceplant and Eisner Award-winner Craig Yoe. Don’t miss Ditko’s Shorts – sure to be a much loved and talked about Ditko treasure!

Howard Nostrand’s Nightmares

A collection of work by a master storyteller assembled by the mighty Yoe Books! Howard Nostrand’s brilliant horror comics art was done during the height of the criticism against comics that resulted in government investigations and the Comics Code. Nostrand’s style was an incredibly skilled, perfect mashup of the EC artists Wally Wood and Jack Davis. Nostrand assisted Bob Powell (the subject of the popular book Bob Powell’s Terror), but these comics are pure Nostrand, the very best of his fearsome comics! Like Powell, Nostrand could be as innovative as Will Eisner, another influence on the artist. Featuring five stories painstakingly reproduced from rare, original art, Nostrand’s Nightmares includes a profusely illustrated Introduction by Eisner-winner Craig Yoe.

Jeeves & Wooster Complete Collection

Set in 1920s England and New York, Golden Globe winner and seven-time Emmy nominee Hugh Laurie plays bumbling aristocrat Bertie Wooster alongside BAFTA Award nominee Stephen Fry as his trusty valet, Jeeves. These delightfully daffy adaptations star the two comedy legends at their finest. Containing all four series of the show, this collection follows Bertie from one predicament to the next. Whether he’s fending off the ever-present threat of matrimony, facing the disapproval of his domineering aunts, or even appearing in a Broadway play, Bertie frequently teeters towards disaster. Fortunately, the unflappable Jeeves is always on hand with a clever plan to save Bertie from himself.  The complete collection includes all four series and 23 episodes

Tank and a 56-page booklet featuring in-depth profiles on members of the G.I. JOE team and the forces of Cobra written by Andrew Farago.

Planet of the Apes

Street View

A visually incomparable treat and a brilliant homage to Hitchcock’s Rear Window by cartoonist  Pascal Rabaté, this unusual accordion book opens in two directions. One, a series of ten tableaux on a street scene as it evolves during the day. The next on 10 evening tableaux of the same view. A window may serve as a source of light and fresh air, but it also presents a view onto the life of a street and its many other windows, each a separate scene of its own, with its multitude of on-going stories developing before your eyes. Within those windows, you can witness the lives of single people, couples, families, stories of love, separation and possibly even… murder.

Cafe Press Marvel T-Shirts

Cafe Press has partnered with Marvel to produce a large number of custom shirts and various ephemera including bedding, shower curtains, coffee mugs, yoga mats and more.

Among our favorite shirts:

Hawkeye Bow Tee

Utilizing the artwork of David Aja, this shirt captures Clint Barton – aka the self-made hero Hawkeye drawing his bow in his ongoing fight for justice!

Moon Knight Face Tee

With the logo on the back and his watchful eyes on the front, this Moon Knight shirt captures one of comics’ most beloved and semi-obscure characters as drawn by Declan Shalvey from the recent Warren Ellis relaunch.  Let the mystical force of Egyptian moongod Khonshu fuel your wardrobe choices!

Spider-Man Face Tee

I’m not 100% positive, but that shirt looks like it’s drawn by the hand of Jazzy Johnny Romita himself!  Capturing the glory of May Parker’s favorite nephew, this shirt is a reminder that with great power comes a great fashion sense.  ‘ Nuff said, true believer!

Iron Fist Tee

He’s Marvel’s master of martial arts and the pride and joy of the mystical city of K’un L’un, Danny Rand aka Iron Fist.  This shirt shows Hero For Hire’s employee of the month for December as depicted by John Byrne.

Olde Wrestling: Another Extravaganza of Wrestling Exhibitions

I Am Tom Cummins Holiday 3-Pak CD/Digital Download

The first release by I Am Tom Cummins features the musical ideas of Tom Cummins and Kraig Jordan (Lloyd’s Llamas, The Masons, Junior Varsity Arson.) Playful lyrics and simple beats set the scene for escape. Animals skate and speak. A man muses about the rush of America’s holiday season leaving him cold. And another New Year begins. Influences include Beck, Morrissey, Burl Ives, and Burt Bacharach.
