Kevin Hart is the first cast member announced for the remake of About Last Night, playing the part originated in the film by Jim Belushi. The 1986 film was based on the play Sexual Perversity in Chicago by David Mamet.
Jake Gyllenhaal will star in the thriller Puzzle Palace, written by David Guggenheim. The story focuses on a young man who must navigate his way through a police station full of crooked cops in order to exonerate his wrongly accused father. McG is in negotiations to direct.
Electra and Elise Avellan, are set to reprise their roles as bad-ass nurses Mona and Lisa in Machete Kills. They join previously announced cast members Danny Trejo, Mel Gibson Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Charlie Sheen, Amber Heard, Demian Bichir and Sofia Vergara.
Kevin Durand is likely joining the cast of Darren Aronofsky‘s Noah, playing Og, giant who helps Noah convince other giants to build the ark. Durand has also been cast in Atom Egoyan‘s Devil’s Knot with Reese Witherspoon and Colin Firth. Durand, “will play John Mark Byers, the father of one of the murdered children in the West Memphis Three case. The real-life father loved talking to the press and was initially a person of interest in the murders since his story changed from his initial police statement.”
Bobby Moresco will write and direct the indie crime thriller, The Harbor, based on the book, Deadly Code by JP O’Donnell, which is, “a redemptive tale of a shamed and discredited former Boston narcotics cop turned private investigator who takes on an intriguing murder case. His investigation pivots when he discovers the murder was part of a government conspiracy. Previously, Moresco won an Oscar for co-writing Crash with Paul Haggis.
Cloris Leachman is joining the cast of the unnecessary Raging Bull II film.
