Doctor Who’s ELISABETH SLADEN, aka SARAH JANE Has Passed Away

According to several reports across the net, actress Elisabeth Sladen has passed away from complications from cancer.


The actress first portrayed the character of Sarah Jane Smith in 1973 on Doctor Who opposite both Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker.

She continued to appear ocassionally over the years, and following an appearance opposite Doctor David Tennant in 2006, before being asked by Russell. T Davies to star in her own series, The Sarah Jane Adventures, of which five seasons were produced (the fifth season is expected to air later this year).

Details are sparse at this time, but condolences to Sladen’s family and friends.
