Hi, what are you looking for?

General

NBC’s bringing back THE MUNSTERS — Wait, it could be good?

Darn, darn, darn! NBC is bringing back The Munsters.
The Munsters? Yes, The Munsters. On NBC, which had such success remaking can’t-miss Knight Rider and Bionic Woman a few years back.
But perhaps this one will work. Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller is working on a modern-day reboot of the monster-mash classic, Entertainment Weekly reports. NBC has ordered a pilot, and the show is being described as “Modern Family meets True Blood.”
Whetting your appetite yet? Well, the pot gets sweeter.
Rumor has it that Guillermo del Toro, looking to fill in some free time since he left The Hobbit, is considering a behind-the-scenes role in the project.
How will it work? Are they awakened from some crystal chamber? Will the show be shot in black-and-white like the old one because Herman’s makeup was too scary in color? Will they still live at 1313 Mockingbird Lane? How hot will the girl playing normal-girl Marilyn be? What about that long-gestating Munsters movie project with the Wayans family attached?
Look, I don’t care who’s involved or what this looks like. Just please, please, PLEASE don’t have this be The Munsters Today. You could tell how monstrously awful that reboot was — despite getting former Catwoman Lee Meriweather as vampiric Lily and a very young James Marsden as wolfboy Eddie — by the opening credits alone.

But if you can’t get enough of that show, Hulu has hooked you up.
