‘The Flash #761’ (review)

Written by Joshua Williamson
Art by Howard Porter
Published by DC Comics

Writer Joshua Williamson’s last story on this book continues here. So far, it has been a hell of an exciting time.

This issue continues along those lines. I love that it is a thrilling story but also that it ties in with elements of Williamson’s entire run. It makes reading this title satisfying.

The Legion of Zoom is now fully formed! They have made things extremely difficult for Barry and he may not survive this.

Barry goes for the only option he has left: to work with the Flash Family to stop the Legion of Zoom once and for all.

That may prove to be a lot tougher than they think!

The Legion of Zoom is incredibly powerful at this time.

The fight between the two “teams” takes up a lot of the issue. It is a good fight and the stakes here are really high!

I was on the edge of my seat throughout.

The fight between Barry and Zoom however is the main fight of the issue. It is an intense fight, too. The Reverse-Flash wants to take Barry to a personal hell and just leave him there. Their fight ends the issue in a most incredible way.

This is some really great stuff.

Williamson seems determined to finish his run on a high note. I think he’s going to do it too. He is tossing in everything and the kitchen sink into his run and it shows. It’s great too that Howard Porter is the artist on this issue as well. He is awesome and is the perfect artist to help bring this run to the finish line.

RATING: A
