‘Superman Red and Blue #6’ (review)

Written by Sophie Campbell, Matt Wagner,
Tom King, Darcie Little Badger, Rex Ogle
Art by Sophie Campbell, Matt Wagner,
Paolo Riveram Steve Pugh, Mike Norton
Published by DC Comics

This anthology book comes to a close with this issue. I hope DC does more with this kind of title because it was quite excellent.

The opening story is written and drawn by Sophie Campbell and it is quite good. It is called Hissy Fit and it is a silent tale that has maximum impact.

The legendary creator Matt Wagner writes and draws the next story which is awesome. It shows us a story with the Golden Age Superman and all of the characters from that time period. It works really well and it is probably my favorite from the whole series.

Next up, we have writer Tom King and artist Paolo Rivera. King always has an interesting take on Superman and this is no different. We get to see a completely different aspect to Clark and Superman in general here.

After that, we get a story written by Darcie Little Badger and drawn by Steve Pugh. This shows Superman and his connection to farming. Pugh has been only getting better and better with his artwork and this is his best work to date.

Lastly, we get a story written by Rex Ogle and drawn by Mike Norton. This one shows Superman and how he is an ally to the gay community.

The whole book was great. This was a great final tale.

Hopefully, there will be more soon.

RATING: A
