‘Second Coming: Only Begotten Son #4’ (review)

Written by Mark Russell
Art by Richard Pace, Leonard Kirk
Published by Ahoy Comics

This book continues to be a delight issue after issue.

The creative team together have crafted a story that works on a level that many comic books do not. It is full of passion and heart and I love where they are taking us on this crazy ride.

There is a bureaucratic group that are attacking like a bunch of jerks as this issue begins. We get to see some of their actions as they do it. Then, they seemingly do the unthinkable: they go and terrorize Sunstar’s grandmother.

That is when Jesus comes to the rescue! Jesus doesn’t take any of this lying down and goes on the offensive here. It is very entertaining to watch this confrontation happen.

It also ends on a really high note for sure.

From there, we get to see that there is a new villain out there. This villain is somebody that Sunstar used to bully in high school. He is back to take his revenge against Sunstar! Needless to say, it ends in a crazy way.

The writing by Mark Russell is very good and well done. The dialogue is great and the characters shine. The artwork and storytelling by Richard Pace is amazing. He really gives this book its personality. Overalls, this is another fine issue of this excellent book.
