SDCC Cine-News Bites: Hellboy Returns, Posters & More!

Legendary Pictures have released one-sheets for Man of Steel and Godzilla.

Mark Wahlberg and partner Stephen Levinson have acquired the rights to the Boom! Studios sci-fi graphic novel series The Amory Wars, from Claudio Sanchez and Evil Ink Comics, to develop into a feature.  The saga is an, “epic fantasy set in a
futuristic alternate universe. The series chronicles the rise of
superhuman dictator Wilhelm Ryan, and the one family that could hold the
key to liberating the world from his tyrannical reign.”

Ron Perlman and frequent collaborator Guillermo del Toro announced that they are actively working on making Hellboy 3 a reality.   “The [first] two movies were really set up to have this unbelievable
resolve,” said Perlman. “Everything that was done in both movies was
leading up to this destiny, written in stone, of what Hellboy has been
summoned to Earth to do. To not do it, particularly in light of
the scope that Guillermo is thinking of for the resolve, would be in my
mind a little bit of a shame.”  There is no financing in place yet Mike Mignola shared the information on Facebook with the comment, “Sounds good to me.”
