‘Rorschach #8’ (review)

Written by Tom King
Art by Jorge Fornes
Published by DC Comics

This book has turned out to be one of the best things to spin out of the main Watchmen series ever!

I love everything about it and it references the comic book industry as a whole and it’s creators in a fun and entertaining way. It is wholly unique and completely unlike any book out there.

The Detective of this book has been through many things over the past seven issues. He has been led to some dark places out there that defy explanation.

He also has been trying to close in on the central mystery of this book. He is getting closer to solving everything.

The problem for him is that everything is so close and almost in his grasp.

He is digging deeper and deeper into the story of Rorschach and his sidekick. He learns of their intentions and how they ended up committing wholesale murder. It gets pretty intense.

More witnesses start to show up.

This issue also focuses on Laura. It shows where she comes from also a bit about the person she has become. We get to see how that story plays into everything going on. Things get brutal.

The story by Tom King is top notch as usual. It moves at its own pace and it is quite intricate.

The art by Jorge Fornes is great quite honestly. He is one of the best in the field and he is only just getting started I feel.

This is a great book from cover to cover.

RATING: A
