‘Rorschach #4’ (review)

Written by Tom King
Art by Jorge Fornés
Published by DC Comics

This comic book is pretty damn amazing. I never thought we would ever get a Rorschach maxi series this good!

Writer Tom King really pours his heart into each and every script of this series. The same can be said for artist Jorge Fornés. They really do an astounding job on this series.

This issue focuses on Laura’s story.

We start off by getting a bit of a flashback to when she was called “the Kid.” We get to see her perform in a variety show of sorts. It all begins as something sort of fun and frothy almost.

Then, the issue gets rather dark in the places it explores.

We get to see her go from innocent beginnings to the teaming up with a comic book creator.

They team up together for some unexpected things. It all shows how they plan for the assassination of a controversial political candidate and their methods in making this happens

I have to say it is an intricate plot but not at all confusing.

By the end, I was left with a lot of questions but I was satisfied. Mostly because they answers some outstanding questions and those very answers led to some more questions. I love the way this is flowing and I loved the ending.

It is hard to do a book about anything Watchmen related. It is even tougher to have to be of any quality.

This creative team is tops and they are doing it the right way.

This book is quite excellent and I cannot wait to see where they take us.

RATING: A
