‘Rorschach #12’ (review)

Written by Tom King
Art by Jorge Fornés
Published by DC Comics

This is the final issue of this series. Man, was this a great book.

I have to say that the creative team really outdid themselves on this one. They have made one of the better post-Watchmen books ever and it really works at a high level.

The Detective who is the main character of this book has really been put through his paces over the last eleven issues. He has been out through some really dark places and now he is ready to finish it all up.

There have been a lot of clues and a lot of red herrings. But this time, the detective has it all figured out.

We get to see him unravel the big picture. It is a much crazier bigger picture than he originally thought.

We get to see all of the events that lead up to the beginning of the book. We get to see why an artist would put on the Rorsharch uniform and do what they did.

We get to see how it happened and more importantly why. It is expertly executed and just fantastic.

Tom King has written the comic book series of his career with this one. This is a strong and smart book with an excellent script. The artwork by Jorge Fornés is out of this world. Fornés is one of the best artists currently working.

This is an excellent final issue to an excellent series.

RATING: A
