Any Gen-X Geek (or hipsters thereafter) knows the beloved constant studio logo in the 80s that flashed before your movie began. It was comprised of a brilliant red-orange half sphere against a pitch dark black background and it usually stood for two things: lowbrow comedy and/or low-budget horror.
