My SCARE LA Experience: Halloween. Haunts. Horror.

By Gavin Hignight

ScareLA!! What can I say… it was a terrifyingly good time… yep. I went there. But how could I not try and have a little fun writing about the event, when the event itself was so much fun.

ScareLA has grown tremendously since their launch a few years ago. And they have grown in the right way. Well organized, great location, solid panels, great vendors, and a really fun crowd and audience. Easily the best surprise of this year was the dark area of the convention that was like 3 or 4 mini-haunts all together. They did a great job!

This year was a blast! Between ScareLA and Monsterpalooza in Burbank, all of the groovy ghouly spooky kids and parents in SoCal are very spoiled. For those who didn’t get to attend, here’s a walk-through of the event in 13 terrifying seconds!

And if you blinked or flinched and want to see a gallery of gory goodness look below!

Scare LA- Drawing fans and haunt entertainment professionals, the event will feature top attraction designers and operators, manufacturers, artists, filmmakers and more. The weekend-long Halloween season teaser will celebrate California’s hottest scary faire with attraction unveils, workshops and classes, top industry panels, haunt experiences, screenings and activities.
