‘Mister Miracle #5: The Source of Freedom’ (review)

Written by Brandon M. Easton
Art by Fico Ossio
Published by DC Comics

This book has really been something else.

I have to say that I wasn’t too excited about it when I first heard about it. Yet, it really proved me wrong. I am really involved where this book is going and the characters are pretty damn strong as well.

There is a force out there that is looking to completely annihilate New Genesis. They will stop at nothing to do so and they make their presence felt at every turn.

They are a viable threat and the book shows just how much.

Shilo Norman and Oberon head over to New Genesis and tried to stop their plans. It proves to be harder than they expect as they immediately run into some resistance along the way. It turns into a a huge battle for their survival!

Along the way, Shilo meets someone who is meant to help him.

This person helps him become the Mister Miracle that he was always meant to be. We get to see that happen as the issue leads to one hell of a cliffhanger!

The story by Brandon Easton is pretty good. It is sharply plotted and has some really great emotional beats. The artwork by Fico Ossio is pretty awesome too.

Overall, this issue is very good and it has some really great moments.

RATING: B+
