‘Geiger #4’ (review)

Written by Geoff Johns
Art by Gary Frank
Published by Image Comics

This has been quite a thrill ride.

The creative team of Geoff Johns and Gary Frank really know what they are doing. They are a natural team and they truly do some excellent work here. It is also very different from their previous work.

In this issue, the Organ people have come for Geiger!

We get to see a little bit of background on them and what they stand for.

They are fairly horrific and they demonstrate that pretty much right off the bat.

Geiger tries to get away and he is forced to fight. He has to protect his cargo and he will stop at nothing to do so.

Some of these sequences are absolutely breathtaking and exciting. You almost forget that you are reading a comic book.

We also get glimpse of the Beast in this issue. It is a truly horrifying character. We also get to see the rival casino bosses making a bargain with each other.

This all leads to one hell of a last page where which changes the whole series.

This is a good issue. The script by Johns is very well done. The art by Gary Frank is top notch as always. I am loving this comic book. I think it has a lot going for it and it never fails to entertain.

RATING: A
