ED HELMS Is The New Rusty Griswold in VACATION

I mentioned the rumors back in March, but now it’s official.

Ed Helms will play the fifth cinematic incarnation of Rusty Griswold (following Ethan Embry, Johnny Galecki, Jason Lively Vacation and original Rusty, Anthony Michael Hall) in the long rumored Vacation reboot for New Line.

According to THR, “John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are directing the project, which plays like both a sequel and a reboot of the Chevy Chase franchise” as we see the adult Rusty embarking on a vacation with his own family.

No word yet, but it would certainly be nice to see cameos from Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo reprising their roles as now-grandparents, Clark and Ellen Griswold.
