Details Start To Emerge About KICK-ASS 2

After months of comic writer Mark Millar self-promoting the sequel to Matthew Vaughn’s 2010 adaptation of his series with artist John Romita, Jr., it looks like Kick-Ass 2 is finally happening.

The first, was financed by Vaughn and co-written by frequent collaborator Jane Goldman and it’s sequel looks to have Vaughn wear the producer hat again, with Never Back Down‘s Jeff Wadlow slated to direct.

The script, by Vaughn adapts the recent Millar/Romita Jr. comic sequel, Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall and the upcoming Hit-Girl mini-series.

Lionsgate, who distributed the first film, is no longer involved in the sequel, with Universal likely to finance and release this installment.

It’s expected that cast members Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse will return and there’s already a rumor that Nic Cage’s deceased character might appear via flashback.
