Sad news today friends, Ron “Horshack” Palillo passed away today from a heart attack.
He was 63.
Ron Palillo was best known for his role as Arnold Horshack on the 70s sitcom Welcome Back Kotter as a member of the beloved Sweathogs.
The show ran from 1975-1979.
Ron also had a small role in Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI playing Allen Hawes, Tommy’s grave-digging buddy who becomes Zombie Jason’s first victim (which, personally, is one of my favorite of the F13 franchise).
After the limelight faded as a Sweathog, Palillo showed up in guest spots on television and provided the voices in animated shows like (and I’m not kidding) Laverne and Shirley In the Army.
Recently Palillo taught high school at the G-Star School of the Arts in Palm Springs, FL.
