‘Batman/Superman #20’ (review)

Written by Gene Luen Yang
Art by Ivan Reis
Published by DC Comics

I am actually really enjoying this series. It is almost a shame that they are cancelling it.  The creative team has really found their groove and it shows with each and every chapter thus far.

I am really liking this direction very much.

At the beginning of this book, both Batman and Superman are recovering from the recent events in this book. They are both trying to gather themselves together and are having a rough time doing so. That is when the two of them are forced into action!

They both have new allies, but the architect of the dimensions being dismantled is having a field day.

They have destroyed so much that our heroes are having a hard time keeping it together.

That is when we get a surprise guest star.

Etrigan the Demon shows up and he gets involved with the proceedings. It is a good thing too,  as the Archive of Worlds puts forth the craziest story that they have ever put forth. The whole thing starts really coming to a head at this point!

The story by Yang really cooks.

This is a hell of a lot of fun and he is just letting loose. The art by Ivan Reis is tops as well. I am loving where this is going.

It should have an interesting ending.

RATING: B
