‘Batman/Catwoman #5’ (review)

Written by Tom King
Art by Clay Mann
Published by DC Comics

This has been a truly enjoyable ride thus far.

If I had any complaints, it is that the issues don’t come out fast enough. But they are totally worth the wait so I am glad that they don’t rush them.

This issue is very good as well and continues the intriguing story perfectly.

In this issue, Batman has to deal with both of the loves that he has. It all comes down to this and Batman has to contend with it all in the best way that he can.

Otherwise, it could spell disaster for him.

It still might! It depends on how it all lands.

Phantasm in the meanwhile, takes Catwoman out for a hit. This is darkly macabre and we get to wonder just what her intentions might be.

Apparently, she wants to prove to Selina that her goals are righteous. But can she?

This isn’t the first time that Selina goes behind Bruce’s back, so the results from this could be bad. We also get a glimpse at the future and we get to see Harley Quinn on a mission to avenge the Joker. Things don’t go quite as planned for her either.

The story by Tom King is pretty great. The script is strong and the things that happen in it are just great. The art by Clay Mann is truly the best of his career.

This series is only getting better and I look forward to where we are headed!

RATING: A
