As the end of the year is rapidly approaching, studios quickly release their best films of the year.  For some reason, Warner Bros. decided to release one of their worst, of this or of any year.

Without any humor or charm, Yogi Bear slowly unravels with a plot (“We’ve got to save Jellystone Park!”) that has been a default premise for most tv-to film adaptations.

Obviously geared for a younger audience, the film’s slapstick just covers up an overwhelmingly dull and uninspired execution of a potentially engaging adaptation.

In Werner Herzog’s documentary Grizzly Man, two bear activists were killed while living among the bears.

Audiences of Yogi Bear aren’t quite as lucky.
