Fox released a number of official photos of their prequel to the X-Men franchise, X-Men: First Class, revealing the first good look of the vision of the film.
Personally, it doesn’t really work for me. I think that I would have preferred a complete reboot of the series rather than try and make this vision coincide with the other films. I’m sure that the Wolverine spin-off franchise has something to do with the decision to fit this in with the movie continuity, but at this point, I think we could have all gone with the upcoming Darren Aronofsky film, The Wolverine, as a reimagining with the same actor.
I do like Matthew Vaughan as a director, but I have a hard time comprehending why he walked away from the franchise when developing X-Men: The Last Stand, but came back for this one.
