Watch ‘BLACK SAILS’ Now, Before It’s Starz Premiere!

One week before it’s premiere, Black Sails has debuted online courtesy of Machinima.

Executive produced by Michael Bay, Black Sails brings viewers back to 1715, when the world’s most notorious pirate captains controlled the debauched paradise known as New Providence Island, the most notorious criminal haven of its day teeming with pirates, prostitutes, thieves and fortune seekers. Taking place 20 years prior to Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic “Treasure Island,” the series kicks off as Captain Flint (Toby Stephens), the most brilliant and feared pirate captain of his day, is threatened by extinction from all sides including the British Navy, rival captains and even the fast-talking young addition tohis crew, John Silver (Luke Arnold), who undermines Flint’s agenda at every turn.

Black Sails also stars Zach McGowan as rival Captain Charles Vane; Toby Schmitz as Rackham, Vane’s right hand; Hannah New as Eleanor Guthrie, a determined young woman who runs the smuggling operation on New Providence; and Jessica Parker Kennedy as Max, a tortured young prostitute who sees the dark side of New Providence. The series was executive produced by Bay and his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form (The Purge, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), and created by showrunner and executive producer Jonathan Steinberg (creator Jericho, Human Target) and co-executive producer Robert Levine (Touch).

Watch the pilot after the jump.
