WALTON GOGGINS Enlists in G.I. JOE 2

Walton Goggins, best known for his work on The Shield and Justified, has joined the cast of the upcoming G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

According to Variety, Goggins will play Warden Nigel James in the Jon Chu directed sequel which stars Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson, Adrianne Palicki, Byung-hun Lee, Ray Stevenson, Ray Park, and Joseph Mazzello.

The screenplay was written by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and is scheduled for a June 29, 2012.

Goggins will be next seen in Straw Dogs in September and will be portraying Wells Hutchins in Steven Spielberg’s Abraham Lincoln biopic.  He is also nominated for a supporting actor Emmy for his work on Justified.
