‘Vinyl #3’ (review)

This series has been a pretty good ride thus far.

The writers are having a good time creating this book it seems and the art is really well done. I have been enjoying this very much, and it feels like we are getting to a really strong place with this.

The main character of Walter had been through a lot these past few issues. He has been trying to figure out the Sunflower cult yet he is having a difficult time of it. In this issue, he faces some really hard challenges.

There are monsters on both sides of the war we are discovering as this series goes on. Will Walter be one of them?  He starts going deeper into the death cult and he keeps finding out different things. These things start to alter his perception.

Walter starts headed towards a bad place as this issue goes on. It might be a place that he won’t be able to come back from. It is a place that is dark and desolate and it seems like there is no hope. And there may not be.

The story is strong and is getting stronger with each issue that goes by. The art by Daniel Hillyard is extremely strong as well. I love the path this series is taking.

This is some great stuff.

RATING: B+
