This is another fine series of the Wrong Earth universe. I am loving each and every issue. It is a total treat to witness the various twists and turns that the creative team put into this comic. Every issue is funny and well written and I honestly cannot get enough of this universe.
At the beginning of the book, we get to see Dragonfly and Dragonflyman captured and held prisoner in some kind of white nebulous. This is where they remain for a lot of the issue. But I was okay with that because the dialogue and the story are so damn entertaining that I could not even look away.
They are captured on Earth Zeta as they were there trying to figure out the source of the pollution coming to their earth. They delve into different parts of each other’s pasts. It is damn interesting.
This issue becomes a character building issue and it is very well done.
That is when their sidekick Stinger appears and helps one of them get free.
I don’t want to spoil which one it is, but it leads to the issue’s cliffhanger.
It is a doozy. I am not sure where the creative team can take us from here but I am excited to find out.
Tom Peyer writes a great script here and it is powerful, funny, and poignant. The art by Jamal Igle is fantastic as well. This is a book that only seems to get better and better with each passing issue.
It transcends the superhero genre as well and has become something wholly unique.
