I’m an autumn girl. I love it when the weather gets nice and cool and I can finally slip into a baggy sweater, hiding my beer gut from the world. I also enjoy spending those chilly nights wrapped up in a flannel blanket out on my deck, drinking hot apple cider topped off with brandy and listening to tunes that remind me of the change of season while my neighbor screams for me to turn the volume down from his bathroom window.
You know, sometimes it’s the little things in life that make you the happiest (and I’m referring to pissing off my neighbor here).
To help get you in the mood for longer nights and cooler days, check out my picks for the top ten autumn-related songs after the break and, because I am frakking awesome, I’ve also included a recipe for Apple Pie Shots that will help make the passing of summer easier for you.

And now for the recipe that makes these songs even better:
Apple Pie Shot (from Allrecipes)
1oz. of Vodka
1oz. of Apple Cider
1 TB of whipped cream
A sprinkle of cinnamon
In a 2 ounce shot glass, combine vodka and apple cider. Top with a dollop of whipped cream and a pinch of cinnamon.
These are incredibly delicious but will catch up with you if you’re not careful so down them when you don’t have anywhere to go the next day.
