‘The Silver Coin #3’ (review)

Written by Ed Brisson
Art by Michael Walsh
Published by Image Comics

This comic book really is something different. It is a horror anthology of sorts that revolves around a cursed silver coin. It also has a new writer on every issue from one of the industry’s best.

This issue, it is writer Ed Brisson that takes on the horrifying writing reins of this title.

In this issue, we get to see a home invasion happen. But this doesn’t turn out as expected for the perpetrators. They are actually dealt with in a very brutal way by the new owners of the house. That is when the story takes a bit of a spin.

This puts the new homeowners in a bit of of a predicament. They find themselves having to cover their tracks a bit and maybe even do things that aren’t too much on the up and up. That is when things go very dark.

The homeowners find themselves on the run at this point. Their lives start to slowly spiral out of control.

Can they get it together?

Or is everything just going to fall apart?

All of this leads to an ending that is very bleak to say the least.

The story is as strong as can be.

Brisson is a great writer and does a good job here. Michael Walsh has been doing a consistently great job on the artwork. I am loving this series and it is been great so far!
