‘The Flash #754’ (review)

Written by Joshua Williamson
Art by Rafa Sandoval
Published by DC Comics

Joshua Williamson has begun his endgame on this title.

All of the elements of his lengthy run as writer of this book are coming together perfectly. I am actually starting to realize just how much he put into the writing of this books since the beginning.

A lot of it is really starting to pay off.

Williamson starts the book off in the 25th Century. There is wanton destruction everywhere. This is a result of the villainous Paradox. He is going around destroying things.

And it all seems to be Barry Allen’s fault.

We then see Barry and the Reverse Flash arrive!

They are both now teamed up with each other.

The Reverse Flash basically verbally abuses Barry for much of the issue. It is pretty fun to watch and there are some enjoyably sick moments.

Everyone in the 25th Century hates Barry.

He is even a wanted man. For the rest of the issue, we get to see Barry and the Reverse Flash try to track down Paradox and stop his devious plans. It all leads to one hell of an ending that you have see for yourself to believe!

This is the fifth part of the “Flash Age” story and it is a good chapter. The writing is passionate and the artwork is pretty damn great.

All in all, this is another good issue in a series I don’t ever want to end. This is a great job done by everyone involved.
