‘Tarzan: Back to Mars’ To Include The Lord of The Jungle Meeting The Great Detective, Sherlock Holmes!

Three years ago, Altus Press, in association with Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., published Tarzan, Conqueror of Mars, the historic crossover adventure involving Tarzan of the Apes and John Carter of Mars.
Now the Wild Adventures team is pleased to announce that a sequel, Tarzan: Back to Mars, is in production for imminent release.
In the previous story, Tarzan was transported to the Red Planet and came into conflict with his fellow Earthman, John Carter of Virginia, now Warlord of Mars. In this thrilling new adventure, they are allies joined in common cause against a dire threat to both planets. A threat known only by the cryptic name, Nulthoom….
Tarzan: Back to Mars also features other heroes of Barsoom who join in this epic quest that ranges the length and breadth of the dying Red Planet. The book will be released in hardcover, trade paperback and e-book formats.
The hardcover edition will include a bonus story, not available in any other edition.
Author Will Murray explains, “After months of negotiations with the estate of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, I’m delighted to announce my new 10,000-word novelette, The Adventure of the Vengeful Viscount. It’s the previously untold tale of what transpired when John Clayton, Lord Greystoke, hired London’s greatest consulting detective, Sherlock Holmes!”
In this historic authorized crossover, Sherlock Holmes is asked to locate the one criminal in all the world Tarzan most desires to find––the scoundrel who marooned his parents on the African shores before his own birth, Black Michael. But is he living, or dead?
Murray states, “I can’t tell you how proud I am to bring together Great Britain’s two most iconic citizen-heroes for this astonishing adventure. I promise no one will be disappointed.”
President of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., Jim Sullos, adds, “Just when we think it’s all been written, Will surprises us with new dimensions to his Tarzan thought process. Tarzan: Back to Mars is another interplanetary drama with twists and turns never expected.  And to combine Lord Greystoke, Sherlock Holmes, and Black Michael all in the same novella! Clearly, this will be an enjoyable read.”
“It’s always a treat to work with Will Murray on a new ERB project,” states Christopher Paul Carey, Director of Publishing at Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. “Once again, he doesn’t fail to deliver a rollicking tale told authentically in the old pulp style, much to the delight of Edgar Rice Burroughs fans everywhere. And we were especially honored and pleased to work with the Conan Doyle estate to bring readers the first authorized adventure teaming up the Lord of the Jungle with the Great Detective!”
The trade paperback edition of Tarzan: Back to Mars will be released in July, with a cover by award-winning artist Joe DeVito. Hardcover and e-book editions will follow in August.  To preorder the trade paperback, visit AdventuresInBronze.com/Product/Tarzan-Back-to-Mars-Softcover
