Legendary Smooch artist Richard Dawson passed away on Saturday after succumbing to esophageal cancer.
He was 79.
Dawson was the original host of the game show Family Feud from its debut in 1976 to 1985. Dawson was also well-known for his love of face-raping female contestants on a regular basis with sweaty kisses and uncomfortable flirting (kinda like a weird uncle). Dawson was also an actor, portraying a POW during World War II for six years on Hogan’s Heroes.
His finest moment may have been as the evil Game Show host Damon Killian in The Running Man with Arnold Schwarzenegger but personally, I liked him best when he pitted The Love Boat cast against the cast of Welcome Back Kotter on The Feud.
Truly remarkable work.
