SUPERSWAG: A Look At Pop Culture Offerings From SuperHeroStuff.com

By Stefan Blitz

There are so many places online and off to find assorted superhero swag and shirts, that it’s nice that there’s a single place where you can find a great selection for all of one’s heroic swag.

Which is why SuperHeroStuff.com is the best place to fill up your own Batcave or dress you and your fellow Avengers teammates.  Launching in 1999, today they are not only one of the industry’s oldest superhero specialty shops, but also one of the best.

From icons such as Batman and Spider-Man to lesser known crimefighters as Robotman and Nova, SuperHeroStuff has something for virtually any nerdcentric provocation.

The site offers a weekly sale that changes every Thursday, and remember, through the end of August, Forces of Geek readers can save 15% off their order by entering the savings code FOG15 at checkout.

These are a few of my recent favorites.

Superboy Red Symbol T-Shirt

Sure, this is the shirt that Kon-El wore, officially making it a Superboy T-shirt, but there’s certainly another way to look at this.

It’s a bad-ass Superman shirt.

Either way, we’re looking at a 100% black cotton t-shirt with the red Superman “S” symbol (or symbol for the House of El, or as Henry Cavill so eloquently put it, “It’s not an ‘S’.  On my world it means ‘hope’.”

On Forces of Geek it means ‘Superman.’

And this shirt, is pretty awesome.  Plus it’s perfect for any occasion. (“I know the rules say professional casual, but on my world it means ‘work.'” or even, “It’s fin to wear to a wedding, on my world it means ‘formal attire'”)

Ant-Man Movie Pop Vinyl Bobble Head

Funko has pretty much cornered the market for awesome pop culture vinyl figures.

So it comes as no surprise that this figure of Scott Lang’s version of Ant-Man (based on the movie version of the character) is both fantastic and absolutely adorable.

Standing a towering 4″ (at least for the real Ant-Man, actually), this vinyl bobble head is the ideal crime fighting companion for your home or office.  And remember, Baskin-Robbins always find out.

Green Lantern Original Lantern T-Shirt

“And I shall shed my light over dark evil,
For the dark things cannot stand the light;
The light of…THE GREEN LANTERN!”

Who would have thought there would be such an awesome shirt of the original GL, Alan Scott.  Armed with his power ring that’s only weakness is wood (just go with it), he’s been a valuable member of the JSA for 75 years!

And as depicted by artist Martin Nodell on this shirt (I think), he’s still ready to kick ass (unless, unfortunately you have a stick).

Let’s say you’re in a meeting or a social event and you find yourself in a situation in which business cards can be exchanged.

Watch what happens when you pull out this R2-D2 business card holder.  Instantly you bond over your common love of the saga.  Exchanging jokes and lines like old friends in Huttese …

“Pee cha ka wanchee lockhba tang nannee du chonky troi.”

“Dtay wonna wanga.”

Or, there’s the distinct possibility they’ll just think you’re a nerd.

Either way, cool business card holder.

Star Wars Ewok Furball T-Shirt

Sure, Ewoks were created purely for merchandising purposes.

That being said, I still love them.

Less annoying than the Gungans and more adorable than the Mon Calamari, these little critters from Endor actually helped the Rebel Forces defeat the Galactic Empire (at least until The Force Awakens premieres).

So throw on this shirt, grab a drum and start singing “Yub Nub” and impress whatever Rebel sympathizing single ladies that might be watching.

Or, realize again that you are, in fact, a nerd and listen to this swinging take on the furball friendly theme.
