‘Superman: Son of Kal-El #3’ (review)

Written by Tom Taylor
Art by John Timms
Published by DC Comics

I have been enjoying this series very much and it is a nice breath of fresh air from the regular Superman books.

Jon Kent is handled in a very cool way in this book and I am enjoying the unique take on him very much.

Jon Kent has tried his best over the time that he has been a hero.

He has tried to go above and beyond in all ways. Yet, people aren’t very appreciative of that at all. In fact some people are downright mad at the job that he is doing.

We get to see some of those people come forward here. It is brutal to see. The Underground news group known as the Source has been helping Jon understand why people are so upset.

We get to see Jon’s reaction to all of this.

We also get to see what commitment he is looking to do to change it. He may be in for the fight of his life though as it seems there may be more forces opposing him than he thought.

The results of this are fairly interesting.

Tom Taylor writes a great script here. It is smart and has some great dialogue. The art by John Timms is very good as well. I have to say that they are doing a great job on this and I am loving where it is going. This is some great stuff.

RATING: A
