‘Strange Adventures #7’ (review)

This series is heading into it’s second half with this issue. It is a very strong one as well. The creative team is keeping the quality high for this book and this is quite good. I love what they are doing and the whole story just works.

Adam Strange is in a weird foggy landscape as this issue begins.

He is facing off against a very weird adversary. The two talk. They are both ready to engage in a fight. Then, they both make their move.

That is when Adam Strange wakes up in another place!

It turns out Adam was teleported out. He ends up in a lab where this is explained to him.

And just like that, he is teleported out again, this time coming face to face with Batman.

This is pretty much the pace for the entire issue.

The thing is, it doesn’t feel repetitive or trite to me.

Tom King makes this very character driven and fun. We learn a lot about Adam Strange in this issue as a result. This is a very different approach but it works completely.

So, the story is very good. The artwork is fantastic as well. Gerads and Shaner are good artists alone but together here, they really shine.

I am loving where this is headed and this is another good chapter of this comic book.

RATING: A
